I was standing on the shore, and I saw a large wine barral. When I looked inside, the wine level was so low, and all the inside of this wood was rotting and leaking.
Do you want to give the Lord this rotten wine barrel?
I gave the Lord the wine barrel and He threw it out on the sand and it became sewage.
Then, I sat at the shore line, and let the waves hit me. I didn’t care that my clothes were getting wet. I just wanted to feel the waves. There was something incredibly refreshing and healing about these waves. I asked the Lord what these waves were and He said it is the water that came from His body on the cross. I realized that all water is so mysterious, pointing to so many realities of God.
Lord what would you give me in exchange for the rotten wine barrel?
He made a new wine barrel but I didn’t know if He even wanted to fill it. I felt discouraged to even ask. Why should my barrel be filled anyway? I thought of all the people who seem to have full barrels. The Lord was so zealous “I want to fill it more than you would want to ask for” and he filled the barrel. I took up some of this wine into a glass. It was moving like the sea. It was alive. It had waves. When I drank it it was both serious and joyful. It was kind but severe. It was pure and potent.
The Lord began to shout very zealously, “Be filled with this wine!” There was a sense that I should run away from distractions and be completely filled with the Spirit of God, always listening and receiving from God.
I saw the world like an expanse of land and the Lord was pleading “Give them this wine.”
